Navman F20 - Your Satellite Navigation Journey Begins Here

New entry-level system from Navman: simple to use, packed with features.

LONDON, September 20th 2006 - With an astounding 12 million people across Europe starting to use GPS navigation in the past 2 years alone*, satellite navigation is no longer the preserve of technology enthusiasts.

In response to the growing market and soaring popularity of this technology, satellite navigation pioneer Navman has created the ultimate entry-level product for drivers looking for a simple - yet comprehensive - navigation unit: the Freedom (F)20 device.

Complete with a new, slim, portable design the F20 is the perfect place to start your driving adventure – operational right out of the box. Menus are easy to use, with a new simplified screen layout making it one of the most user-friendly products on the market.

The F20 allows you to search by address, places of interest and recent trips, and there are also short cuts to “My Home” and “Favourite Journeys”. In addition, the F20 features a full postcode search to help you pinpoint your destination as accurately as possible. The device itself now boasts a slimline new look – at 24 millimetres thick, this is the ultimate in portability.

The F20 also offers traffic information via the compatible T1 traffic module. Simply plug it into the F20 and it will warn you of any traffic on your route – it’s even capable of replanning your route to avoid traffic jams. So, as well as directing you to your destination, the device can steer you away from any problems you might encounter on the way.

Located next to the screen are dedicated fuel and park buttons that will guide you to the nearest petrol station or car park with a single click. The Back-on-Track™ function will instantly re-route you if you happen to take a wrong turn, giving you peace of mind whilst on the move.

The F20 also allows you to download safety camera information from www.navman.com, enabling your device to give you an audio warning as you approach safety cameras.

“More and more people are turning to GPS devices to have a stress free journey,” says Prash Vadgama, President of the Consumer Navigation Group. “It is important for first time users to have a satellite navigation product they can trust. The F20 gives drivers all the features they need, in a simple product and at an affordable price.”
