New NavDesk application features Flickr search and Google Earth upload functionality, for the most comprehensive navigation experience.
LONDON, November 2007 – Satellite navigation pioneer Navman has completely redesigned their NavDesk software, which allows you to manage your Navman GPS system. The brand new NavDesk application features unique additions including a location search through Flickr and Google Earth upload and, just like Navman’s latest S-Series devices, has been enhanced in order to make the user experience simpler and more intuitive than ever.
Navman’s NavDesk software offers a unique combination of features – additions such as mileage reporter, PIN code lock and safety camera information make this the most comprehensive navigation software on the market. However, it is the Flickr image search and Google Earth upload function - exclusive to Navman - that make NavDesk such a revolutionary product. Giving access to more than 25 million geotagged Flickr images, the software enables users to upload these onto NavPix-enabled Navman systems, and navigate straight to the location pictured at the touch of a button. Developing the technology further, users can export their NavPix images into Google Earth, showing exactly where they were taken by overlaying them over Googles map of satellite images.
