The purpose of the NavPix™ Library is to provide a source of quality geo-referenced images for everyone to share, contribute to, navigate to and enjoy.
So we actively encourage you to add and geo-reference your own images in the NavPix Library.
But remember the emphasis of the NavPix Library is on NavPix of locations – and providing a resource that everyone can enjoy. Therefore, unsuitable content will be removed.
Examples of unsuitable content include:
- Images containing nudity
- Copyrighted images where you are not the copyright holder
- Images of children
Furthermore, we will not tolerate text that is obscene, threatening or violent, for example.
Additionally, we will remove NavPix™ images that have no titles or have titles which are too generic, eg “My house”, “The church”, etc, and which have inaccurate and/or incomplete geo-reference data.
We will also remove images of residential properties from the site.
Finally, we will not accept descriptive text that is not your copyright.
Images of nature, adults and animals will be accepted so long as they are in the context of a clear location, eg a bridge, a lake, etc, and are accompanied by a suitable title and description.
