NAVMAN AND SOCIAL CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY: AGREEMENT REACHED WITH THE LA SPEZIA RED CROSS
Ambulances and medical vehicles featuring the most advanced navigation system devices: here it stands NAVMAN’s latest challenge
La Spezia April 2007 – with great pride NAVMAN presents today the partnership with La Spezia RED Cross. The agreement is about the donation of 30 navigation system devices available on all Comitato Provinciale’s rescue vehicles, both in town and periphery (Ameglia, Mezzano, Muggiano, Sesta Godano, Varese Ligure…). The La Spezia RED Cross covers a territory of about 250.000 inhabitants, with a summer pick of over 350.000 people. Therefore, it is getting more and more important to provide a service the most accurate, punctual and technologically advanced.
“The need to improve the service provided” says the lawyer Francesco Lazzaro, “comes from the will to get over problems caused by the operators’ lack of route acknowledge, mostly when driving out of the city centre”.

The concept behind the NavPixtm technology is very simple: won’t it be easier to identify a destination through pictures rather than through addresses?
For example, using the N20 model, it is possible to create on NAVMAN website albums of geo-referenced images dedicated to medical structures. After having uploaded the NavPix images on the devices the destination (medical structure) will be a click away.
